MSc (Hons) Physiotherapy : Level 7 | 2 years

This integrated degree apprenticeship is a four-year course requiring a combination of day release (approximately one day a week) and clinical placements (between six and eight weeks long). Employers and tutors at Coventry University work in close partnership to develop apprentices’ skills and expertise in all core areas of physiotherapy.  At the end of the course, apprentices who successfully pass all modules and the End Point Assessment (EPA) will receive a BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy degree and will could be eligible to apply to the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Our Physiotherapy Degree Apprenticeship (BSc Hons) is your unique gateway to earning a degree in Physiotherapy while actively contributing to the allied-health sector. Aligned with the apprenticeship model, our course emphasizes a practical and reflective training approach. You remain employed by your host organization, dedicating 80% of your time to your workplace, with exceptions during clinical placements. The remaining 20% involves attending the University for theoretical studies and skill development, equating to one day per week.

Your dedicated work-based learning advisor and academic personal tutor from Coventry University collaborate closely with your work-based mentor to ensure seamless support throughout your learning journey. This dynamic course, designed to progressively challenge you, makes you eligible for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) upon qualification.

Real-world experience, is pivotal, and our extensive network of clinical placements with local and national healthcare providers and sports clubs enhances your skills and knowledge. Insights from service users and carers within the Public Partnership Group enrich your learning experience. Following a traditional degree structure, apprentices undertake a minimum of 1,000 hours of practice placements during the degree.
